Review

Versha (Guest) – “The End We Start From” follows the journey of a woman after an extreme natural catastrophic event.  The story does not center on the actual catastrophe but more on the main character’s journey, her challenges and frustrations, her moments and memories and the steps she took to move on.

I found the movie slow, and I wondered where this was all going, but there were some unexpected turns in the story which then made me curious to know what would happen next. Some of the incidents were initially vague and seemed extreme but the story moved on and the focus turned back to the main character and her seemingly aimless journey.

Overall, the movie is slow and serious, and very matter-of-fact. It is an intimate story with some still, quiet moments, a story of hardship, strength, determination and hope. 6/10
