Review

Versha – The movie is about Bella Baxter who is a science experiment in captivity and runs away to explore the world.

Bella is an interesting character from the start with her behaviour, the way she walks, talks, eats and the words she uses. She is intelligent but not groomed to fit into society and does as she pleases.

As she discovers the world, its pleasures and her sexuality, she is very well aware of her emotions and her likes and dislikes and is never afraid to speak her mind, always wanting to discover more. She also observes inequality in society and gender and her reasoning and curiosity are intriguing and inspiring.

The dialogue is hilarious and the scenes are beautifully intertwined with fantasy and surrealism. A thought provoking movie that might leave you wondering about the society we live in. 8/10
