A young paramedic gets a crash course in lifesaving techniques while working with a grizzled New York City veteran.
Review
Versha (Guest) – The tale two paramedics on either ends of their careers, set in slums of New York. Their interaction with cases involving gang related injuries, drug overdose and domestic violence starts to change both men and how they see the people they are meant to protect.
The movie is intense, but fails to really deliver on that intensity. It’s far too serious for its own good, the performance come over as melodramatic. The dreariness of the setting and performances drag the movie into a place it doesn’t need to be all of the time.
The stress and weight of their work seep into their private lives and leave them dispirited, which is a problem when you don’t care about the characters. Only see this if nothing else looks good to you. 4.5/10
This movie is essentially Training Day for paramedics, fails on the execution spectacularly.
