Alien: Romulus (2024) – “Facehugger!” – Review

Space colonizers come face to face with the most terrifying life-form in the universe while scavenging the deep ends of a derelict space station.

Review

Versha (Guest) – A sci-fi horror in keeping with the more well-regarded installments in the franchise, follows a group of young miners/slaves who plan to escape a mining colony where they are indentured labourers. They reach a derelict and seemingly abandon spaceship where all havoc awaits them.

Chance of survival? Minimal.

The premise was well thought-through and engaging with nail biting, gruesome scenes. I haven’t watched the other movies in the Alien franchise and thought this movie was gripping. The actors were good and visual effects were realistic. The typical adult alien was scary enough as were the other horrific “creatures”.  The movie has you till the very end, this is where we have to tip our hats to director Fede Alverez for keeping me and the rest of the audience on the edge of our seats. Very entertaining movie, well worth your time & money. 7.5/10
