When their parents place the family home on the market, siblings Maura (Amy Poehler) and Kate (Tina Fey) learn that they have one weekend to clean out the junk from their old bedroom.
Unhappy with the news, the recently divorced Maura and her hotheaded sister make plans to throw one final bash to recapture their glory days with their former classmates. As the raging party begins to spiral out of control, the gals soon realize that there may not be a house left to sell once the dust settles.
Review
“Ramz” -This film stars Tina Fey and Amy Poehler; how could it not be funny?
Very much a “ladies night out” movie, the film rehashes the cliché of the party girl sister vs the responsible sister and their relationship. Same old, same old…except this time we have Tina Fey and Amy Poehler delivering the comedy which adds so much more to the formulaic genre.
Even though this is mostly aimed at ladies, I found myself laughing out loud at the excellent one-liners in the film.
The characters are memorable and the acting is good but it’s the comedic delivery from the two main actresses that brings the “re-watchability” factor.
I give this movie a FUN/10.
