Remedy Entertainment has a knack for telling a good story with some weird themes in the mix. Their new game, Control, is no different. In fact, it turns the weird all the way up and you know what? It works.
Control tells the story of Jesse Faden, a young woman who gains powers after a traumatic experience during her childhood. Jesse visits a skyscraper in New York called the Oldest House to look into her childhood experience in addition to the origin of her powers. The Oldest House just so happens to be the headquarters of the Federal Bureau of Control (or FBC, for short), an agency that deals with all instances and items that violate the laws of science. Let’s just say that the weird goes all the way up from that point on. Add to that, a combat system that features shooting and telekinesis, and you have a recipe for a seriously good time.
Control is something special and some of Remedy’s best work yet.
