A rookie New Orleans police officer is forced to balance her identity as a black woman after she witnesses two corrupt cops committing murder.

Xabiso – Black and Blue is a story of a young black woman (Naomie Harris) just a few weeks into her job as a cop. She uncovers corruption and killings of innocent people being done by some members within her police department and tries her utmost to ensure that justice and the law takes its place.
The movie takes us through some challenges faced by black officers in the United States who work in black neighbourhoods and how they can be overlooked by their community. Mike Colter provided the film’s best performance as Daruis, a respected gangster in his neighbourhood.
The film for the most part is suspenseful and action packed, well worth your watch.
