Review
Siddiqah (Guest) – A young girl, Félicie (Elle Fanning), runs away from her rural orphanage, with the help of her best friend Victor (Dane DeHaan), to the glamourous big city of Paris to pursue her life-long dream of becoming a dancer. Meanwhile, Victor dreams of becoming the world’s greatest inventor with some comedic outcomes.
Once in Paris, the friends become separated and Félicie finds it difficult to fit in and makes a number of enemies along the way. True to her never say die personality, Félicie assumes the identity of a wealthy overindulged girl to become a student at a prestigious ballet school, despite having no training.
Félicie quickly learns that she will not only have to persevere and be diligent but courageous as well if she wishes to achieve her dreams.
Romance also makes a witty appearance in the movie, leaving the viewer with that feel-good feeling, while a well-suited soundtrack compliments the movie and entertains the listener.
Overall, BALLERINA is an inspirational movie that will appeal to all age groups and deserves a 7/10.
