Reviews
“The Chairman” – After two years of hype and build up, the day has finally arrived. We all get to see the much lauded Star Wars: The Last Jedi. I already hear the questions in the back of the room, “was it great?, did it live up to the hype?” and I can say, with a heavenly choir as accompaniment, YES!!!!!
I will breakdown my review into positives and negatives (yes, there are Negatives):
Positives
Rey & Luke – The relationship that falls somewhere between Mr Miyagi and Daniel-son, & Bob Sagat and the kids of Full House. Their interaction is their to illustrate the true power of the force.
Kylo Ren – Probably the best performance is the movie, most of the movie pivotal moment are because of his actions.
Carrie Fisher – Princess Leia had a bigger role than the Force Awakens, showing her true leadership skills in a time of great anxiety.
Porgs – I need a scientist to make this hybrid Puppy-Penguin a reality. So cute!
Negatives
Finn – Seemed like they wrote a script and said, “Hey guys, Finn isn’t in this much. Let’s force him in”. They all probably had a good chuckle over the pun they just made. No spoilers, tell me if I am wrong here.
Twists – Too many twists, M.Night would be proud!
Poe Dameran – Don’t crucify me, I am but the messenger. I won’t explain why, it might reveal too much.
Overall a positive result, and something to keep all Star Wars fans happy. And if you were wondering, it’s no copy of The Empire Strikes Back.
