Wonder Park tells the story of a magnificent amusement park where the imagination of a wildly creative girl named June comes alive.
Review
Yusrah – In this film you’ll find yourself hooked by trying to think of ways on how Jane is going to figure out the series of obstacles she faces.
Jane lives in an imaginative world, and with the encouragement of her mother she believes that she can create anything she puts her mind to. With her mother being the epitome of her life, her imaginary world has dimmed down when she learned that her mother became ill. Jane’s imaginary world shut down completely, causing her to lose her zest for life… her light that kept her happy. But through her journey self discovery without her mother’s presence, she learned that she can be happy in any circumstance if she chooses to do so.
The film was fascinating, creative and full of wisdom. It reiterates the power of thought, imagination and how dreams can become a reality. Jane’s vision was clear and precise, the details of how she imagined a wonderland with all sorts of characters, rides and entertainment was refreshing to watch.
My favourite scene was when Jane and her imaginary friends all worked together to save wonderland. The humour of the characters, along with the mission of figuring out the next best move kept me glued to my seat.
My favourite character was Jane. She is a very smart, creative, yet stubborn individual. When she puts her mind to something, she makes sure to execute it. 7/10
