Created by Obsidian Games and published by Private Division, The Outer Worlds feels new, but also familiar. It feels like Fallout and BioShock got together and had a baby. Playing as a colonist in cryosleep aboard an abandoned ship, you’re suddenly awakened by a nutty scientist. After waking from your slumber, you’re shot to the nearest world by means of an escape pod. This is where your story starts again and it’ll ultimately get you tangled up in a conspiracy that could possibly destroy the colony.
There are some interesting characters to meet and better yet, the dialogue system enables you to communicate with them with as much sass as you want. Throw in some moral choices, decent combat and a choice of how to play, and you have quite the adventure ahead of you.
