The Best Moments of Spider-Man: Far From Home

Spider-Man Far From Home is has officially hit cinemas and that means that we can start talking SPOILERS! With the warning out of the way, we can delve into the film. Far From Home is certainly a flawed film but it does offer a level of charm that is true to its characters. Here are five moments that had me feeling like a 12-year-old once again.

Mysterio Reveal

ShockHorrorGasp! Mysterio turned out to be the big bad of the film! I don’t think many would have been too shocked by this turn of event. The reveal felt earned and indicative of his character. It also provided the necessary tie-in to the rest of the MCU.

Mysterio World

This scene is probably one of my favourites in the entire film. The scene, which entails Spidey being trapped in one of Mysterio’s illusions, feels straight out a comic book. The Web-Slinger has to battle his way through a series of intense illusions each becoming more trippy and frightening. It’s the perfect scene to demonstrate the threat Mysterio poses to Spidey.

MJ solves cracks the case

In true Spidey fashion, the moment Peter wants to confess his feelings to MJ is the moment that she not only figures out his identity but also incidentally cracks the case. It’s a scene that feels true to the source material and earns its place on this list.

I’m Not Iron Man

A scene that proves that Tom is truly worthy of the mantle of Spider-Man. A broken Peter admits to Happy that he is not worthy of becoming the next Iron Man. It a great little scene that reminds us that Peter is still a kid who shoulders a massive burden, but with the help of Happy is reminded that he doesn’t need to be perfect to be the hero that the world needs.

The Mid-Credit Scene

The mid-credit scene was a bit mindblowing for a number of reasons. Firstly, JK SIMMONS REPRISING HIS ROLE AS J.JONAH JAMESON! HOLY FUCKING BALLS! Then Beck completely outs Peter as Spidey to the world! It’s a great moment, which has major implications for the Web-Slinger in the future. I for one am excited.
